Downhill Fast is an Arizona based Race Ready Rockabilly band made up of musical veterans, whose history includes, The Keltic Cowboys, The Markdowns, Plowed Under, The Shadowcasters, and the legendary rockabilly band Exit 56. Downhill Fast was the brainchild of drummer Jay Ward and guitarist Ben Cox who quickly identified multi instrumentalist Rich Merriman to take control of the low end on bass and coaxed Rodd Mas to assume the vocal and rhythm guitar responsibilities. Concentrating on upbeat originals, Downhill Fast instantly became a mainstay in the rockabilly and car club scene, and are now establishing a national and international presence as a must see experience. With their debut 7-inch record Race Ready Rockabilly and their 14 track CD Gears, Greasers and Gasoline, Downhill Fast is delivering music that’s fast, loud, and undeniably fun.
